Boy Scout Troop 7 & Cub Scout Pack 7
Beginning on June 5, our Living Faith community will welcome Boy Scouts Troop 7 and Cub Scouts Pack 7, who will start meeting at our campus every Monday night! The Troop 7 boys, ages 12-17, will meet from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. The Pack 7 boys, ages 7-11, will begin meeting at Living Faith in August. They will be utilizing our fellowship hall and the classrooms. Below is a note from the Scoutmaster for Troop 7, Mr. John Hoburg:
Hello members of Living Faith Anglican Church! We, the leadership and Scouts of Troop 7 and Pack 7, are very excited to join you in this partnership. We were founded in 1988 as a Christian troop and we leaders desire to please God in our own lives as we serve the boys. We begin and end each meeting with prayer. A core value of the program at Troop 7 is to help every Scout to mature in their Christian walk. The Troop is a boy-run troop, which means the boys plan and conduct the meetings. The Troop experience focuses on leadership, team work, and outdoor skills. We strive to have an outing every month: backpacking, car camping and canoeing are examples of our various outings. The Troop has a dedicated group of parents and adults who are very knowledgeable and sacrifice to guide these boys. Adult leaders see their role as an important and critical ministry. I have been a leader with the troop for about 13 years, and for the last year and a half I have had the privilege to serve as the Scout Master. I, myself, am an Eagle Scout and, also, serve the Troop as its Eagle Scout Advisor. My goal is to help every scout to earn their Eagle Badge. Feel free to stop by during our meetings anytime. I can be reached at email@example.com . If you are interested in joining me as one of the volunteers guiding these boys towards Christian maturity, I would love to connect with you and share about some opportunities and needs we have. Thank you.
