Chris also pastors Missio (MissioTempe.com), a missional community based church in Tempe that he helped plant in 2008. Chris currently serves on the boards of the Surge Network, Tempe Community Action Agency, and Langham Partnership US. Chris and Leslie have been married for 18 years and have three teenage children. They also usually have someone else living with them - foster kids, homeless, etc. Messy Kingdom hospitality is the name of the game!
The Very Reverend Thomas Phillips
Being called as Dean of the Deanery of Arizona is both an honor and a challenge. It comes after over 50 years of my journey with Jesus Christ. I have been an apprentice carpenter, architectural student, youth minister, campus minister, deacon and priest. I have 4 1/2 academic degrees, and have served in nine dioceses, four continents, two coasts, three organizations as youth minister, three as rector and three as interim rector and now, Dean, DWA. I am the husband of Elizabeth Symons, father of Fr. Ben Phillips and Jon Phillips (Area Director for IV in Arizona) and grandfather of David, Catherine, Thomas, Evangeline and Zachary. Bishop Keith is my visionary bishop, Tim Keller, my model preacher and church planter, and N.T. Wright my resident theologian. I'm passionate about Intelligent Design, our Designed Bodies, and Celtic Art.
Shaun Deegan, Music Minister
Shaun began leading worship at the age of 16, and began to experience a call toward ministry. He earned a Bachelors degree in Biblical Studies from Liberty University. Shaun and Allison have been married for 16 years, and have 5 children: Ashleigh, Rylan, Madeline, Molly, and Adelaide. Shaun went on to earn an M.A. in Philosophy from Biola University. While at Biola, they began attending an ACNA Anglican Church, and eventually were confirmed. Shaun came to Phoenix to teach, spent several years attending Christ Church Anglican, and then joined Living Faith Anglican as their worship minister in 2017.
