Hospitality Ministry
Spring 2023

What is the vision of the Hospitality Ministry?

The end of each worship service (8:30 and 10:30 AM) marks a window of time in which the congregation can fellowship together and enjoy hospitality with one another.  The goal of the Hospitality Ministry is to provide the refreshments and the environment to make that possible.

Presently, the Hospitality Ministry provides drinks (coffee, water, lemonade, etc.) for enjoyment, and a welcoming environment in the fellowship hall.  On 1st Sundays of the month (Birthdays and Anniversaries) we will provide a cake to celebrate.

Can I sign-up to serve for just one service?

Yes!  There are 2 rounds of volunteers.  We would love to see people sign-up to serve once per month for either round.

1st round volunteers prepare hospitality for the end of the first service which typically comes around 10:00 AM.  1st round volunteers set up drinks before the first service ends, and then serve people once they have arrived into the fellowship hall.

2nd round volunteers prepare hospitality for the end of the second service which typically comes around 12:00 AM.  2nd round volunteers refresh drinks before the second service ends, serve people once they arrive in the fellowship hall, and then cleanup afterwards.

Can I sign-up to serve for both rounds on a Sunday?

Absolutely! That is extremely helpful in a number of ways, but not required.

Can I show up whenever?

1st round and 2nd round instructions are available inside the kitchen door. They can be used as a checklist for you.

In order for the Hospitality ministry to function, volunteers need to commit to serving for either the 1st round or 2nd round.  1st round volunteers need to follow through on their sign-ups or else there will be nothing available after the 8:30 AM worship service is over.  2nd round volunteers need to follow through on their sign-ups or else clean up will fall to Fr. Peter or Christy (Sexton) once everyone has left.

How do I get trained on what to do?

Reach out to Tess Edge. Instructions are also printed in the kitchen.

How do I sign up?

If you would like to be a part of the Hospitality Team, contact Fr. Peter and he will will add you.  Then, each week, a Hospitality Team sign-up will be emailed to you through Breeze.  Open the email and sign-up whenever you are willing and able: whether 1st round or 2nd round.  Then track your sign-ups on the Worship Service Calendar.

Can I bring food to share?

Yes, please reach out to Tess Edge.
